New job positions introduced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Justice

The need to update the Classification of Occupations in accordance with the Standard International Classification of Occupations (ISCO 08) led the Ministry of Labor and Social Justice to approve Order 198/2017 that became effective on April 4, 2017 and that introduces a series of new occupations.

Most of the newly introduced occupations refer to the major group of electrical engineers, with positions such as wind plants engineer, photovoltaic plants engineer, engineer for the management and control of energy utility systems, and engineers in thermoelectric and hydroelectric plants. The Order also introduced the concepts of electro-energy and thermos energy auditor, which were not previously regulated under the Romanian Code of Occupations.
